Download Speed Test

In some situations, it's important to know the actual download and upload speed of your Internet connection. For example, you want to make sure that your Internet provider offers you the correct speed which is stated in the monthly subscription. Or you want to change your current Internet provider and you want to make sure that this is worth it. In these situations, you could use Download Speed Test, a Windows program which, as its name suggests, allows you to measure the download and upload speed of your Internet connection.

After installing and running the program, you will just need to click on the "Start" button inside the program's interface. At this point, the measuring process will begin and you will be able to view the exact download and upload speed in a graphical way and also see the amount of data transferred and also the time used to perform the measurement.

To be able to see the speed fluctuation over time, the program also displays the upload and download speed as a chart, in the lower part of the interface. Unfortunately, there is no option to export these results to a file, so the only thing you can do is just take a screenshot of the program's window. From the options area, you can configure Download Speed Test to automatically check for updates at startup and also display the traffic in bits instead of bytes.
